YAMAHA XT 350 1996 MODEL EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION

Yamaha XT350. This is a 1996 model with a first registration date of Jan 1997.

The bike was originally from Canada. still having the Canadian Type approval sticker on the headstock. Imported and registered in the UK 17/8/2006 and residing in Suffolk.

I bought this bike off Ebay in August 2010 following a weekend of off road riding in Yorkshire with my brother in law. I used the bike for 2 years clocking up around 2000 miles but having collected other bikes and projects the Yamaha has been virtually unused for the past 2. 5 years.

The bike is completely original spec. including the original tool kit in the zip up bag behind the seat. The mileometer is in kilometres. showing 26. 00km (16. 00 miles) which I believe from the condition is correct.

Since having the bike I have replaced all the wheel bearings. fork oil. brake fluid and Air filter. Engine oil has been replaced several times. I checked and reset the valve clearances. only needing to replace 1 shim on the exhaust side. The battery is sealed Motobat unit fitted 18 months ago and is fitted with an Optimate lead to keep it in good condition.  Tyres are new Continental TKC80s having done around 200 miles since fitting. new tubes were fitted at the same time. I have also stripped and cleaned up the suspension linkages including replacing all the bushes in the monoshock connecting link. The chain and sprockets looked new when I got the bike and I have kept in good condition since.

I replaced the exhaust down pipes with a stainless steel Motad item and have the original set if required. The engine bash plate is not fitted in the photos but will fit prior to sale.

There is also an alternative engine sprocket to lower the gearing for off road use. the standard sprocket is fitted currently.

A good genuine bike that will give many years service.
