Yamaha RD 350 LC which I bought last year with the intention of totally rebuilding as a special. I have added a photo of the bike as I bought it. it wasn't road worthy due to a seized brake caliper and no MOT etc. . nbsp;but the engine ran. The crankcase has a lump missing due to being hit by the chain. so a replacement set of used 4L1 cases is included in the sale. As the bike won't have matching numbers. I thought it best to build a special rather than an original refurbishment. The bike is in bits. but the engine hasn't been stripped. apart from removing and replacing the cylinder head a clutch cover for inspection. nbsp;I've checked the pistons and they look almost new. first oversize I seem to recall.
Please note that this bike needs a rebuild. it is 31 years old and quite grotty. so be prepared to check everything and overhaul/refinish it as required. but it is the basis for a good winter project.
I've added some photos of various parts of the bike. there may be odd bits and pieces that were missing from the bike when I bought it. indicators etc. . nbsp;but it is mainly complete.
I've bought some RGV parts with the intention of building a special. these will also need to be cleaned up. painted etc. . but are included in the sale. There's a banana swinging arm which has been modified by NK racing to fit the LC frame and standard shock. there is also a pair of RGV forks and wheels with spindles etc. There's a pair of yokes (the lower will need the lockstops modified. details on the various LC forums). the upper yoke has had risers fitted. is powder coated with new bars. There are also new chain adjusters. a refinished rear shock. new headraces and a variety of new seals and screws etc. Also included is a pair of Raask rearsets with missing passenger pegs which will also need some tidying but they are difficult to get hold of these days.
I believe the chassis is at the point where it needed to be dry built to get all of the parts to fit. then to strip again to have the finishing done before assembly. Due to ongoing work commitments. I can't dedicated any time to rebuild the bike in the forseeable future. so I've decided to sell and free up some garage space.
Could accept Paypal but cash on collection preferred.
Any questions just ask. read my feedback and buy with confidence.
