Yamaha XS650

Frame Number. 2FO 007545

Engine Number: 2FO 007545

All of our stock is imported so this motorcycle will require registration in the UK. All import duties are paid and we provide all necessary import documentation. the bike is registered on the NOVA database. please see below for the simple step buy step guide on how this is done.

I am an unashamed fan of a good parallel twin; it is a configuration that delivers low down useable torque in spades which makes for easy riding seldom experienced on a multi. In my view the XS650 is one of the best all round classic Japanese motorcycles. practical. affordable and by the later models. such as this. they offer excellent handling characteristics to boot. It is these characteristics that make these machines so popular for conversion to flat trackers and caf?© racers.

As you can see in the photographs this is a largely complete and original motorcycle. although it is a bit tatty round the edges. This is an ideal winter project either for restoration to a nice standard XS or a special build.

The bike is still finished in the original Yamaha green paint work it does have chips. marks and scrapes as can be seen in the pictures. The tank is clean inside; the right hand side panel is damaged. The chrome work is relatively clean and tidy; the exhaust is an after market two into one system. The wheels are the original alloy items. the spokes are tight. the rims are undamaged and will polish up nicely. both the front and rear tyres are close to new.

The seat appears to be original and it is in reasonable shape although there are some minor tears and nicks in the cover. the base is solid and in good order. the locking catch is missing as can be seen in the picture.

We have had the bike running and the engine does smoke heavily so it will need some investigation and work.

The front brake is not working. it might be a case of bleeding the system or a replace master cylinder. the rear brake is in working order.

We would like to recommend a great suppler of XS parts. I have dealt with this company many times for my own XS650 www. heidentuning. com

Please review the pictures carefully they form an integral part of the description.

We do not hold the title for this bike so a dating certificate will be required in order to register the bike we can provide contact details to obtain this.   All duties have been paid and the bike is registered on the NOVA database. all paperwork will be supplied and the registration process is very straightforward. We spend a good deal of time working with the DVLA and HMRC to ensure that are bikes are compliant with all current legislation in order that our customers do not have any difficulties in obtaining age related registrations. we have not had a problem with this in over 650 motorcycles we have sold.

Please consider carefully before bidding on a motorcycle we have for sale if you are new to the world of motorcycle maintenance. This motorcycle is a classic machine. it will need to be maintained and cared for. and if you can?ˆ™t spin the occasional spanner we would not recommend purchase.
