1980 Yamaha V80, Classic Step Thru, Barn Find For Spares Or Restoration, V5

A rare Yamaha V80 Step Thru. in my early days on various humble Japanese step thrus the Yamaha was my favourite. this one is in need of some serious love however. It has been off the road since August 1997 and believe it or not. mostly stored in a barn!It is pretty much complete. all that I can see is missing is the nearside rear under seat plastic panel and the badge under the headlight has the top half missing. The leg shields have split in places but would probably glue back nicely. All the indicator lenses are there but all seem to be different! The bike rolls well. the tyres hold air and the cables are free however the engine appears to be seized. I was told by the previous owner that it was turning over a couple of months ago and that the kick start may have stuck. I would err on the former and who knows. you may be pleasantly surprised! The frame has surface rust but after a quick inspection I can see no holes that shouldn't be there. The bike is in Kennington. London SE5. I recommend viewing. It comes with a key and a V5. There is no MOT. no tax and you can't ride it away so bring a van or a trailer to collect. I can get a quote for delivery if necessary. please send a message.
