Yamaha XS2-650

Selling my lovely Yamaha XS2-650. As can be seen from the photos. she is not 100% original . ut is a good looker that also sounds lovely. I purchased her December 1999 as a virtual basket case. It required a good deal of work and many a visit to Halco tuning and the internet to obtain parts. She has been stored in a garage wrapped with dust sheets for approximately 6 years. although I would ensure she was started up and moved a few times a year. Over the years that I have owned her I have fitted a number of additional items and modifications. such as;Extra chrome parts as can be seen from the photos . Boyer Bransden electronic ignition and coils. which in my opinion give better starting and performance. (original parts kept). The cylinder head fitted with new valve guides/seals. along with  valves/seating cut to match . New carb diaphragms. eedles. ets and floats fitted. Hagon rear shocks. Tyres are excellent condition with many miles left on. New battery. I obtained historic registration and therefore no road tax required(have documentation)Requires M. O. T. but I have all the mot certificates since my ownership and have additional paperwork to confirm mods and parts fitted. As can be seen from photos clocks are not original. however my first m. o. t shows 13774 miles and the last 18213. Giving my total mileage in 14 years of ownership at 4439. I do not however know of previous mileage. The V5 shows 10 previous owners. She has matching frame and engine numbers. When I purchased her I wasn't looking for an original bike. but a project I could enjoy to get her looking right and to ensure a certain reliability. This I feel I achieved over time. She is a fun to ride classic bike that puts a smile on your face and evokes comments from people when 'parked up'. I just love the sound of her 'over run' when de-throttling. especially under bridges!20% deposit payable via ebay at auction end and balance of cash at collection.
