1978 Yamaha YZ400 YZ 400 YZ400E

1978 Yamaha YZ400E in excellent condition. I got this bike ready for vintage MX with a complete teardown and rebuild. Bike starts right up & runs great. Mechanically this bike is ready to go. just needs some cosmetics. I have a new OEM copy front fender for it that goes with the bike. I have the following new parts and have done the following service:- New clutch plates. clutch springs. & actuation ball- New clutch arm bearing - New clutch pressure plate bolts- New intake manifold- New throttle. clutch. & brake cables- New fork seals & fluid- New swingarm bearings- New clutch & brake levers- New front & rear wheel bearings- New JT 14T steel countershaft & JT 48T alloy rear sprockets- New chain- New chain sliders - New chain roller- New clutch & ignition cover gaskets- New countershaft. shifter. clutch arm. & kickstart seals- New shifter rubber- New Uni Air Filter cage- New No Toil air filter- New rim strips- New front & rear inner tubes- New Dunlop Geomax MX51 front tire- Near new Dunlop Geomax MX51 rear tire- New fork boots- New front brake cable guides- New fuel lines & filter- New breather tubesI have rebuilt both front & rear brake assemblies. greased & lubed all pivots and assemblies that require it. Installed a new EBC clutch kit & springs and replaced all seals so this motor doesn't leak at all. I put on a new intake manifold ($110 alone). and installed boyesen reeds too. Replaced the throttle tube with a near new good one. & everything works as it should. All it needs is cosmetics which are a new tank & side panel stickers. a new rear fender. and a new seat cover. I was going to use this bike as my personal vintage racer. but have decided to go Euro and restore my old Maico & Montesa. I've probably forgot some of the other things I've done but it's all gone through. I can help with delivery within 50 miles for a fee.
