Description

I hate to let her go. but it is time to say goodbye to MyPalomino.   I am selling  bike because I need a cage for the winter that is coming to NW Indiana.   This bike has been well cared for since I purchased it in 2008 and it was in excellent condition at that time.   Nicest example of regularly ridden MM Edition which I have seen. but then I haven?ˆ™t seen them all. have I?  So. I guess I shouldn?ˆ™t exaggerate and just say that this bike is an extremely well-maintained example of an awesome piece of machinery;

This is a 2000 Yamaha Royal Star Venture - Millennium Edition - only 1500 manufactured and 1000 sold in the United States. Came in a beautiful pearl white and tan finish. however. I decided to change the leather and trim to a darker camel color. which I thinks better accentuates the pearl white.   This bike gets compliments every time I take it out of the garage. where it stays whenever it is not being ridden.   But. by no means has it been a garage queen.

We have made several trips to Americade (not on a trailer either) and many more to Kentucky Lake for fishing trips and shorter trips through Wisconsin. Indiana. Michigan and surrounding states; Never a breakdown or a problem

No. 536 of 1500 identified by badge on trunk lid;  Other MM Limited Edition markings on the speedometer and saddlebags as well as the ignition key;  A second key is also included in this sale.

THE GOOD:

If you enjoy vibration in your riding. this 1300cc. V-4 engine with its smooth running power and 5 speed transmission is NOT for you; Shaft drive

New Gel battery; new fuel filter; fresh oil and filter change (oil and filter changed every 4000 miles since purchased in 2008);

Freshly cleaned carburetors; fresh set of spark plugs; starts immediately upon pressing starter; (see attached video).

Cruise control; radio/CB/cassette deck; auxiliary audio for MP3/Ipod; lights; turn signals; and all electronics work as they should;

Transmission shifts smoothly; smooth idle; brakes perfectly; everything mechanical works as it should;

Tires have very little tread life left on them but for the buy-it-now purchaser ($5. 00. 00) I will include a fresh set of Dunlop 404 whitewalls (like the ones currently on the bike) at the time of the delivery of the motorcycle; otherwise the winner bidder should expect to purchase new tires before doing any long distance riding;

Just replaced a weeping rear mono shock with a perfectly working shock I kept as a backup and it rides like new again.   If you didn't know. the mono shock is one of the most frequent issues with this model of bike and a new one retails between $600. 00-700. 00.

I have clear title in hand; no accidents since I have owned this bike;

ADD ONS:

Towing hitch and trailer wiring harness installed in 2010;

Front and back pillow seats which were not available in 2000. have been installed for unimaginable comfort; custom leather painting with SEM coat paint (camel) applied onto original black leather; requires touch-up every few years to retain luster; (I also have an original seat combo. in the lighter tan color. and will include them in this listing);

Driver's backrest with storage pouch;

Driving and passing light bar;

Saddlebag rails with custom running lights installed (there was minor rusting at the joints on the railing when I purchased the bike in 2008); some rust progression since; (see pictures)

Chrome luggage rack on trunk;

Custom painted radiator cover;

Chrome fender tips (front and rear)

Custom license plate holder w/ additional running and brake lights attached for additional visibility on the road;

Custom turn signals installed on front upper fairing for additional visibility;

Chrome engine guards;

OEM 6 disc compact disc changer which was mounted in the trunk of the bike when I purchased it; I removed the changer because it took up too much space in the trunk and as I said. my media of preference is MP3; All of the wiring connections for the CD changer are still in place on the bike;  I did play a few CD?ˆ™s in the bike before removing it and I was amazed as to how well it performed even while the bike was moving at highway speeds; however I have not tested it since and cannot guarantee its operability;

THE BAD:

Minor rusting near the joints on the saddlebag rails;

One scuffing mark on the pillow top passenger seat;

Paint chip on the front fender caused when the front air deflector came loose at highway speeds and hit against the fender several times;

Paint scrape on the bottom of the right hand saddlebag indicative of some type of contact with road surface that was on the bike at the time I purchased it in 2008; not detectable unless you are lying on the ground and looking under the bike;

During one of my moments of creative inspiration. I decided to eliminate the need for opening the cassette deck door in order to plug in my MP3. by drilling a hole in the cassette deck door and installing a rubber grommet around the opening; it is a good practical idea that works flawlessly and in my opinion looks better than riding around with an open cassette deck door. Unfortunately. I was careless in my drilling and caused an unsightly nick near the auxiliary plug.   Fortunately. this nick is completely out of sight when the deck door is closed. which for me is always since I don't use the cassette deck (and don't know anyone who does use one).   My goof has no adverse effect on the auxiliary plug. the cassette deck or the cassette deck door.   (See pix here: http://s783. photobucket. com/user/jarrejx/library/MM%20Ebay%20photos%202d?sort=2&page=1)

THE EXTRAS:

Two extra OEM wheels (front and rear) each with a rather worn tire mounted;

Original driver and passenger seats in OEM tan color;

Set of rear brake pads;

SPECIAL OFFER:
