This incredibly rare and much sought after tax exempt 1969 Yamaha DS6C 250 Scrambler has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 10425 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the Tail lense. tank badges. r/h mirror. air box. l/h side panel & tachometer needle. The bike has obviously stood a while so the tyres are perished & battery is flat. Sadly the front indicator is broken. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here and crying out to be restored. The wheels are straight but chrome rims are pitted they have good hubs & brake plates. Forks & yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid as are theHeadlight & hangers. speedo & switches look great. Fuel tank & side panel are faded but tank is squeaky clean inside and has just a dent on the r/h side. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhausts are original & solid complete with shields. Seat base feels in very good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter ?ˆ“ sounds/feels great & has compressionbut we haven't run it up. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of title but we will provide proof that the VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Yamaha UK customer services on 01932 358000 with the Model. frame & engine Numbers for a small fee they will send you a letter confirming the age.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ??55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
