1997 YAMAHA XTZ 750

For sale my Yamaha XTZ 750 which I?ˆ™ve owned for a couple of years. In that time it?ˆ™s had only had summer use and has been stored in my workshop ?ˆ“ the bike is in good original condition (not concourse) for its age with some age related marks with the exception of a small crack in the right hand side fairing (see pic) and what looks like. a cigarette burn on the seat.

Good points: -

Runs extremely well. gearbox is solid and there is no smoke or knocking from the engine as are the chain and sprockets (it still has the tyres it came with when I bought it and whilst there is still plenty of tread ?ˆ“ they are quite old) ?ˆ“ in the two years I?ˆ™ve owned it. it?ˆ™s had new pads front and back. new coolant. new oil and filter. new clutch plates just as precaution. Prior to me buying it. it also had a full carb rebuild including tubes ?ˆ“ there are some old invoices and MOT?ˆ™s. It will also come with a Givi top box and MOT to April15

Bad points: -

It?ˆ™s still has the original break pipes and if you know anything about these bikes. the breaks are not the greatest. could benefit from steel braided hoses to improve breaking. Also the carb rubbers could do with replacing sometime in the future (still holding up fine) and right hand sparkplug cap which failed just as I was about to set off to Fort William. so it has one from my old Alfa which works fine.

Other than that. it?ˆ™s been a super bike but a Cagiva Gran Canyon 900 means it has to go.
