1986 Yamaha FJ1200 Classic Sport Touring Bike

Let me start out by saying that this FJ1200 is a lot of fun to ride. its also a head turner. you dont see too many of these anymore.  Its the classic yamaha red and white.  Has NEW clutch. tires and fork seals installed earlier this year. only 19000 miles. it starts. runs and stops well. Clean NJ Title.  you can get on it and ride it just the way it is. but here are the known problems.  At high rpms it sometimes pops out of gear in first and only in first.  you have to be almost at the redline for it to happen. if you dont beat on it you would never even know. also if you leave it on the side stand it will smoke when you first start it but it doesnt happen when its on the center stand. The fuel gauge doesnt work. and it has some scratches and cracks but not bad at all considering its age. I have taken plenty of pics to show the condition.  I am selling this for a friend but I have ridden this bike myself. It is an overall good motorcycle and its unbelievably fast for its time. 0-100mph in under 7 seconds!! Please call me with any questions 732-503-5971 my name is Phil.
