1984 Yamaha XJ 900 Motorcycle MOT till May 2015 Shaft Drive - Black

 This Black Yamaha XJ 900 Shaft drive 4 Cylinder 1980's Superbike is a real treat to ride.   It handles really well. and corners like its on rails.   I rode it again today. and it is still a wonderful Bike.   Good Points:Sound EngineIt has MOT till May next yearStainless End PipesStarts first time. even after standingAll Lights and Indicators WorkShaft driveSpare parts can still be bought on ebayInsurance is cheaper on classic bikesBad Points:Needs Some restoration work to turn it into a mint examplePaint Flaking in places (swingarm. frame and tank) Slight ticking from (no2) exhaust colletRight hand sidepanel has been replaced. but I still have original and will give to the new owner. (The stripe is a slightly different shade of silver. but the original had a broken plug)Needs a good polish. but it will gleam with some TLCThe Chrome on original indicators is not the best The Laquer on the aluminium parts is worn in places. and so gives a dirty look. see the pictures (this could be polished up)This is a thirty year old Motorcylce. and it has not led the most sheltered of lives. being ridden at all times of year. and in all conditions.   The bike is a great ride. and would suit eiher someone who wants a restoration project with not too much work. or someone who just wants a great bike to ride.   Look carefully at the pictures so you know what to expect. I would prefer it if you want to see it before buying. as then you will know what you are getting.   The price does reflect the condition of the bike. if it was in mint condition I would be asking double for it.
