This big old 1983 Yamaha XV750 Virago shaft drive. air cooled. V-twin custom cruiser has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing. a few bits damaged/broken. a few bits rusty/corroded. a few bits non standard & a few bits are very nice indeed. The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy. good hubs & brake plate. disc. caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & painted. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. The engine is cosmetically very clean. when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel it actually fired. started & run but the starter clutch is noisy. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of title but we will provide proof that the VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Yamaha UK customer services on 01932 358000 with the Model. frame & engine Numbers for a small fee they will send you a letter confirming the age.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ??55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
