1985 YAMAHA FJ1100 for spares or repair. Running & quite good condition.

My friend has asked me to list his 1985 (B reg) FJ1100. as he "doesn't do eBay". It was going to be a restoration project. but he has too much else on at the moment (sounds familiar. doesn't it?). It has the wrong tank with it. off a FJ1200 (3CV by the looks of it). but apart from that is largely original. even down to the standard exhausts in quite good condition. The paint may not be original. but it looks like all the panels are there and in reasonable condition except for the belly pan. The tyres are good and the engine starts easily and runs well (on a remote fuel tank). but the gears have not been tested as there is no fuel tank to put on the bike (and I'll be buggered if I am going to run after him holding the remote tank while he tests it!). One exhaust manifold clamp is missing (so the exhaust is blowing from there. but seems good everywhere else). and the bleed nipples are broken off in the anti-dive units on the forks. He has the V5C for the bike but no history. The odometer shows 51k miles. The bike is sold as seen and for spares or repair. but looks like an easy restoration project. or would make a good donor for a custom or chop. Viewing can be arranged (with a bit of notice) at his unit just outside Milton Keynes. not far from M1 junction 13. Cash on collection preferred. or cleared funds before release. Thanks for looking.
