yamaha xt600 tenere, barn find, winter project, easy restoration

Here is my 1984 Yamaha XT600 Tenere. a classic trail bike.  As you can see it is in fair condition for it's age. It has been stored in a shed but starts and runs well. it is in good general working order. The chain and sprockets are in good condition with plenty of life left in them. The tyres currently fitted are a road orientated tyre again with plenty of life in them. I am also including with the bike a spare set of wheels fitted with a good set of more off road tyres. This bike would make a great winter commuter with the option to do some green laning using the off road tyres. It would also make a great basis for a light winter restoration project.  I have the V5 in my name. there is no MOT but I am sure it would not take too much work to get one. The only bad point about the bike is the dent in the tank. I have tried to show this as clearly as I can in the photo. The tank is still petrol tight so there is no reason why you could not just carry on using it like it is. Alternatively it would be fairly easy to repair and repaint.
