1978 Yamaha YZ 125 Vintage Racer AHRMA POST VINTAGE

This is a 1978 YZ 125 that has been restored to riding and vintage racing condition. It is not a museum piece. Bike has been completely stripped down. Frame was sand blasted and  painted with automotive black and clear coated. Motor has been totally disassembled and rebuilt with new bearings and seals. Cylinder is mildly ported matched to lower cases and bored to a wiseco 1st over piston. New boysen reeds. new clutch and clutch springs. Has new throttle and clutch cables. Front and rear wheels have new bearings seals. Tires are new also. New fork seals with old school webco fork boots. The rear shock has been totally rebuilt with new seal head. bumper and fresh oil. A remote reservoir bottle withcompression dampening was added. Rear shock has a 400 yz spring on it. Front fender is a 79 YZ OEM and rear is stock and has been refinished. Sidepannels are not stock. Graphics are remanufactured. New air filter and seat cover and other misc small stuff. Bike starts and runs great. Has some snap when it comes on the pipe. Shifts well and drives well. Wheels have been trued. Pipe is good shape and not all beat up. Has a small crease that is shown in pictures. As with any 36 year old bike. it will need some adjusting to suite your style.
