1981 Yamaha IT250 AHRMA Vintage Enduro IT175 IT200 IT465 IT490

Here we have a 1981 Yamaha IT250. This bike starts easy and runs good. Shifts through the gears fine.

It is in good condition for a 33 year old dirt bike but it does have normal wear and tear. scratches and dings  that a used off road bike of this age would have.

The plastic is complete and in good shape. it has a new Uni Filter air filter. the carb has been cleaned. The bike idles and runs well. The chain and sprockets are in good shape.

The wheels and suspension are in good shape and the bearings overall seem good. The tires aren't great but do hold air.  

The bike HAS A CLEAR TITLE signed by the previous owner. It is a Florida title and does not say anything about off road only. so this bike could be put on the road in some states but check with your local notary of course. The bike is located in south western PA zip code 15470. nbsp;my neighbor had it stored for the gentleman in Florida and I bought it from him and he signed and mailed us the title.

The original tools appear to mostly be there in the tool pouch. the zipper on the pouch is in good shape.  

The bottom frame tubes are in great shape. Not flattened out at all.   

Faults - The odometer and drive are there but there is no cable. the lights are there as well as the switch but they do not come on. May be a bad connection or something like that. There are a couple tears in the seat. The pipe has quite a few dings and dents but I don't think they are bad enough to cause a loss in performance. The folding shifter tip is worn and loose feeling so it could use a new shifter. the shaft and splines are in great shape. it is just the folding tip that is worn. The tail light is held on with cotter pins. nbsp;they work fine but could be changed to long machine screws.

I have ridden the bike some and it runs good for me but is of course sold as is.  

I will not ship the bike but I will store it for up to four weeks and will cooperate with your shipper if you make the arrangements.

US bidders. nbsp;a Paypal deposit of $100 needs to be made within 48 hours of the end of the auction.  The balance is to be cash paid at pick up of the bike.  If you are setting up shipping you can pay a week in advance with a US Post Office money order.

I will let some select other countries open to bid but payment will have to be certified funds and I will have to hold the bike for two weeks after payment clears.
