1977 YAMAHA RD400

 This is a beautiful 1977 Yamaha RD 400D motorcycle. I am the 2nd owner of the bike and I have owned since 1980. The bike is mostly original with some minor upgrades. These include. Spec II pipes. high output ignition coils. rear sets and K & N 2 into 1 filter setup. The tires are Kenda's and have about 90% life left. Rear shocks are S & W.

The motor runs greats . transmission shifts smooth and clutch works as it should. The top-end was inspected less than a 1000 miles ago and has new rings. cylinders still on original bore. The oil injection fully operational so no premixing required. The Chappy Red paint is original and has been meticulously maintained and preserved along with the rest of the bike. There is the normal wear and tear that is to be expected for a bike of this age. Also there is a small dent on upper left side of gas tank that can be seen in photo of gas tank. Bike is missing horn. has Yamaha toolkit and original owners manual.

I am selling the bike because I have recently started on other projects and frankly need the space.
