Description

I am selling my 1984 Yamaha Rz350L.   It is the red. white. and blue American model.   This bike is numbers matching. and is very unique in that it has many upgrades in performance.   The whole bike was gone through 3 years ago. completely disassembled. with the frame sandblasted. epoxy primed. and painted original Yamaha red. Bike has new wheel bearings. new Avon tires. new o-ring chain. new sprockets. new head stem bearings. seat reupholstered. tank cleaned and coated. rebuilt petcock. new brake pads. new hydraulic hoses. brand new master cylinder. all calipers taken apart. sandblasted. rebuilt and repainted. This bike has progressive suspension springs in the front forks with new seals and dust boots. reinforced with a racing Daytona fork brace.   Bike has a new AGM battery on a trickle when not on the road.   Now for the good stuff. This engine was completely torn apart and completely rebuilt.   It has new bearings. balanced crank. and all new seals.   Bike has forged pistons. Vforce reed cage. Toomey Expansion Chambers with polished aluminum silencers. Stock carbs were replaced with Keihin PWK 28 Carbs. Carbs are fully jetted for mid-top end performance (low rpms are not as crisp).   To match airflow. carbs have K&N pods.   Bike is also equipped with Zeel Programmable Ignition/Powervalve Controller.   I will include the usb to adjust if you want.   Bike runs very good. and when the power band kicks in at 6k. hold on!  It can be a wheelie machine.   Bike has newer paint and is kept indoors. The front forks. swingarm. and silencers were polished. front levers powder coated. and rear sets powder coated a metallic silver.   Toomey pipes were coated in a high temp ceramic satin black.   This bike is registered in Florida. and has a clear title in my name. I also have the ultra rare rear solo seat cowl painted to match bike with era correct decals.   I do not have the brackets for it. but they can be purchased.   Bike still has oil injection currently used with Racing Castor Injector Oil.   Frame was reinforced with steel plates to rid frame flex upon rapid acceleration.   The "catalyzer" light on the cluster is wired in to the rev limiter. so if it blinks red. SHIFT!!

Now for a few minor things

Keep in mind. rebuild was done 2. 5 years ago. so there is some wear and tear. I do ride this bike.

The stock speedo was replaced with a Canadian one due to it being damaged upon rebuild. Speedo on bike now is in Kilometers and does not represent exact mileage. Exact mileage is approximately 5000 more than what the gauge shows (gauge is in kilometers. so total about 7000 total miles).   There is a small bubble on tank at the very bottom of the left side. and one of the rear sets is also a bit pitted.   A small spot of clear coat was chipped on one of the side fairings.   Like all RZ's this bike runs hot. so just keep an eye on the temp gauge.   It can run for a long time at lower rpms. Front rim may need to be cleaned internally as air escapes over the course of 1-2 weeks.

Kill switch is not working. I just use key.

There are a few broken tabs between the side and rear fairings.   The solo cowl is resting on the bike for picture purposes.   It is how I display it in my living room.   I do not have the brackets to properly secure it however. so I will attach the banana seat for purchase and pickup.

As I mentioned earlier. bike is jetted for mid-top end performance. sacrificing lower rpms.   Still rideable. just not as crisp as 6k on up.   Petcock is suction driven. so it takes a few kicks to suck the gas in the bowl and fire. or you can turn it to "Prime".

There is currently no horn or turn signals.   There is also a steering stabilizer already mounted. but if you turn it to tight it will drip the internal oil.

The paint is newer and the decals were cleared over. but they are not perfectly 100% aligned. and there are a few minor imperfections. not noticeable

Chin cowl is missing 2 bolts. and is currently zip tied.

**IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A 100% PERFECT SHOW BIKE TO NOT RIDE AND JUST STARE AT. THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.   THIS BIKE WAS MEANT TO BE RIDDEN. AND IT IS!**

THIS BIKE IS SOLD AS IS. WITH NO WARRANTY! WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET

Bike is also sold with lots of extra parts listed below:

RZ350L Workshop Manual

Complete Allen Head Stainless Screw set for engine

Brand new old stock right side cover w/ clutch plate cover

Brand new old stock kick start rubber

Master Cylinder Rebuild kits

Spare master cylinder front and rear brake parts

Brand new old stock master cylinder for Canadian Models

I also purchased new Toomey stickers for the silencers. but liked the naked look; however. they will be included in parts box.

*Note to buyer*- on the title for this bike. the "WT-L-BHP" category states 100cc.   Is should say 350cc.   I asked the lady at the Tag and Licensing office and she said as long as the VIN matches. I am golden.

I am also including a rare vintage Team Yamaha RZ Griffin Helmet.   It is more of a show piece but can be put to use. Insides are very worn.

That's over $500 dollars in extra parts

I am located in Florida and reserve the right to end auction early as I also have this bike listed for sale locally.   Seller is responsible for all shipping arrangements. and $500 deposit is due within 2 days of purchase.   Full payment due within 7 days of auction close. This needs to be cleared in my account before bike leaves my possession.

I do have a cold start video available on request for serious buyers.

**PLEASE. Please email me with questions and I will do my best to answer.   I tried to take pictures to represent exactly what you are purchasing.   I want you to be confident in your purchase and happy with what you are bidding on!!**

I do have a reasonable reserve as I have lots of time and money invested in this motorcycle. and am not desperate to sell. but it is fair for the rz market.

Locals can come see bike before bidding.

SEE MY OTHER AUCTION ALSO!

Don't miss out on this one of a kind blast from the past. It is a street legal race bike that earns the respect of all people who see it. and deserves a rightful owner. She turns heads everywhere and I will miss it. but I am trying to upgrade to an RZ500.
