1981 Yamaha XT500

1981 Yamaha xt500 with only 2355 original miles. I got this bike from my father he has had it for years in his garage. It didn't have any spark. I put a cdi box in it from vintage spoke and got spark. Went through and cleaned the tank and carburetor and the bike fired up. Its in nice shape no dents in the tank. The tank clear coat is peeling. I have got the bike running but it still needs to be gone through and tuned up it doesn't run perfect. I think the carb should be rebuilt I just cleaned it and one of the diaphrams was not in the best shape. I recovered the seat with the stock oem seat cover otherwise its all original. I have the side covers but the paint is peeling off of them. Bike is in very nice shape for its age and low miles. It also needs the rear brake gone through. the front brakes work. I have the clear wisconsin title and its signed by the previous owner but hasnt been titled for awhile. The blinkers horn and tach domnot work everything else seems to work fine. email me with any questions.
