Yamaha TD3 is arguably the nicest looking race bike ever manufactured and highly sought after by collectors and racers alike. Yamaha made a very small batch of road race bikes each year for sale through selected dealers and the demand was always greater than supply. Fully rebuilt from the ground up to go racing in the 250cc Post Classic P5 class in Australia. F250 AHRMA and similar classes with other race organizations. New pistons. gaskets. seals. low mileage crankshaft. OEM six speed close ratio transmission with air cooled clutch and self generating FEMSAtronic ignition (mag). It was fired up once after it was built and the tank and carbs were drained. Upgraded suspension at both ends. NOS swingarm. and upgraded brakes for racing - 100% as they were raced in the early seventies. This is an excellent example of the last of the air cooled Yamaha production road race bikes. Aluminum tank with high flow petrol tap. New fiberglass race seat. The bike has not been raced since it was built. This is the bike that RD cafe racers try to emulate but never get close. This is a race bike built for the race track: To race or for track days or for your personal collection. It is 95% original and includes some rare parts including a NOS clutch cover. For a collector. the racing upgrades are easily changed back to stock. Replica parts are readily available out of Europe. This bike was offered for sale a year ago and that sale fell through. so it is back on the market and looking for a new home. It is located in VIC. Winner must pay a $500 deposit and the balance on pickup. If you need it to be shipped somewhere. please contact me through ebay and we'll try to work something out for you. Note: It is a race bike and they never had a title and cannot be registered. but ebay rules require a seller to choose one of their predefined options. I can provide a Bill of Sale/Receipt but no title or registration documents. Good luck.
