Classic 1981 Yamaha SR500 Vintage Motorcycle AHRMA

What you are looking at here is the 1981 version of the iconic Yamaha SR500. This particular example has 10. 20 miles on it. It has the usual nicks and dings that you may be inclined to quibble about. but I can assure you that they only add character. This bike runs very well. and is 100% reliable. The valves were just adjusted. and is has fresh synthetic oil and a new filter. The brakes work as good as a 1981 single disc bike can. The forks have fresh seals and oil. The Dunlop D404 tires are still like new. Think of this bike as your own blank canvas to customize as you see fit. The only modifications that I have made were installing a reliable new Mikuni carburetor. Motion Pro throttle housing and cable. and a pair of bar end mirrors. It breathes through a UNI filter and the jetting is spot-on.  This past October. I spent a week on this bike up in the Smoky Mountains without any issues whatsoever!This bike is kick-start only from the factory!The bike still gets ridden a couple of times per week. as it's not too cold to ride down here. There are a few extras. such as some old magazines from when this bike was newer. a new set of front brake pads. as well as an OE carburetor.  I reserve the right to sell the bike locally and end the auction at any time before the auction is sheduled to end.
