1999 Yamaha R1 Owned by Nicolas Cage

I acquired this from Loveland Cycle Center in Colorado a year ago.  The bike is said to have come from an estate sale when Nicolas Cage when he got into some tax problems a few years back.  A regional guy for car fax bought it in California. and then sold it to a guy here in Colorado.  Shortly after. the new owner defaulted on the loan and the bike was repossessed by Loveland Cycle Center.  I saw a Craigslist ad that was simple with no real details. and a bad picture.  I went to look at the bike. and was floored by what I saw.  It is in immaculate condition for the year. and was jam-packed full of extras.  After I got the bike home. I set out to track the Car-Fax guy. which I found. and he confirmed that the bike was in fact owned by Cage.  He sent me what he had. which was the registration for the bike with Cage's name on it.  The odd thing about the registration is that it says "R5. which I have never heard of existing.  I have a digital copy of that document. as well as the communications regarding the bike. Simply put. the only reason that I am selling this bike is that my riding style has changed.  A few months ago I bought a Harley and rarely ride the R1.  Anytime I need a hooligan fix. The rest is just cosmetic. and the engine is unmolested.  The bike always always been garaged and never ridden in the rain under my possession. The only negative to this bike is a turn signal regulator is out. causing one of the back lights to cross blink.  Other than that. this is the nicest R1 for the year range you will see.
