1980 YAMAHA TY 175 TWIN SHOCK

These bikes are collectible & this one is a sound example.  Bought for my son but due to a lack of time & local venues we only got to take it out a couple of times. The bike needs some TLC to bring it back into first class condition but it rides & runs OK as it is. When my son had mastered riding it we were going to tidy it up to enter a couple of trials on it. As you can see from the photos it is in sound condition with no major faults. The rear mudguard has been damaged & repaired. the forks have some minor pitting & wear. the paint on the tank is average (not looked under the tape around the fuel cap). Some of the fixings & bolts are not original & the same goes for the seat. Most parts have been repainted. in many cases needlessly. The engine is fine & has been rebuilt in the recent past. It does have the obligatory TY top end rattle but it is nothing major as the piston & rings have been replaced. Due to the age & condition of the bike I would recommend viewing prior to purchase to ensure you know exactly what you are buying.
