YAMAHA WR500 TWINSHOCK IT YZ PE KX EVO MOTOCROSS ROAD REGISTERED

Hi. here is a 1992 Yamaha wr500 which I imported from the USA. a few years ago with the intention of giving it a full rebuild. as you can see this has not happened. the bike came across as a very good example in good condition only being owned by 2 previous owners and well looked after and unmolested [not a bag of bolts] Hence my purchase . I have only used the bike periodically for greenlaning  and in some local fields. as you can see the bike is very dirty and has been lying in storage for a few months unwashed   [oops]   .   There was a new uprated clutch fitted around a  year ago as it was starting to slip. Apart from the cosmetic look of the bike which will clean up. nbsp;and a couple of serviceable  items the bike is ok. the suspension is good with no leaks the engine is very crisp and very powerfull and gears all good. I purchased this as it was the next best thing to a YAMAHA IT 465 which at the time was still my favourite bike but let me tell you these are MUCH better than the OLD ITs . and I have had a few ITs and only one of these . they handle much better being a YZ chassi and better suspension etc. nbsp;and these engines are much more responsive  putting out around 65 horse . I have reduced the rear sprocket by 10 teeth and raised the front by 2 teeth and the bike is still mental. As mentioned the bike is fully road registered  on a age related plate J reg  with all documents present . I just ran it on a day time mot which has expired . The drive chain has started to seize and the rear chain guide has a bit  missing also a little play in steering bearing [may adjust] but apart from that it should go threw day time mot ok ?. Also both the front pipe and the tail pipe have had small repairs but don't leak.   I no the bike is far from perfect but I am not giving it away I no what these are worth this is still a good bike for restore as the last one I seen went for over ?4000 or simply sort the few minor issues and just go mental. viewing can be arranged by appointment only and if I get my washer fixed it may be washed ?.  Collection only unless you are local to me .
