Was being regulary riden on the road up till August when the MoT ran out. been dry stored since

Some history in form of previous MoT’s

A nice honest retro 80’s geared moped in good condition. getting rarer to find and very collectable.

Will only appreciate in value.

Could be returned to the road with very little work. alternatively a very good start to a restoration project.

I will describe the bike as precise as I can in the following paragraphs. /p>

Frame. Swingarm & Suspension

Frame is straight. no accident damage or rot.

Swingarm also good.

Forks and shock in good order. operate as they should. no leaks.

Wheels. Tyres. Brakes & Chain/Sprockets

Both front and rear wheels are straight. no buckles or dings.

Chrome finished rims in good condition. no flaking. some light rust spots to outer rims.

Front and rear tyres in good order. still within legal minimum tread depth. no cracking or perishing to side walls.

Front and rear drum brakes in good order. operate as they should

Chain and sprockets in good order. plenty of life left in them

Bodywork & Mudguards

Front and rear mudguards are intact and in good condition. no cracks or damage.

Overall bodywork is in good order for the age. there are some minor age related marks and damage as you would expect from a 25 year old motorcycle.

Seat

Seat is in good condition. base is solid. no rot. cover in good order. small rip in left hand side. nothing major.

Electrics

Headlamp (dip and main). horn and rear brake light all work as they should.

Front brake not operating the brake light currently. missing indicators (wiring for still present)

Engine. Gearbox & Exhaust

Starts easily on 1st or 2nd kick. ticks over and revs smoothly.

No nasty rattles or knocks. a very sweet running engine.

Selects all 5 gears and neutral cleanly.

Exhaust system is solid and intact. no rot. cracks or holes. Surface rusting to normal places.

Chrome finish aftermarket expansion chamber. original ‘stock’ Yamaha tail pipe.

Conclusion

Overall a very original. honest little machine in good un-molested condition

Only a few minor easy fixes to get through an MoT and enjoy on the road.

Or a fantastic basis for a restoration project to keep you busy over winter!
