1974 Yamaha YZ 250 A vintage mx AHRMA

 This is a first year Yamaha YZ 250A matching number ex-vintage race bike. It is very original and has never been restored. Frame and motor numbers are 431 02650. The only non-original thing on this bike is the carb. it is a 38mm Mikuni from a later year YZ 250 and the rear tire.   The front tire is the original Dunlop sports tire. It is flat. When I realized it was the original tire and there were absolutely no marks or scars on the rim from tire irons. I decided to leave the tire flat. instead of scarring the rim up with my tools.  

 This is an excellent running bike. it is fast and light weight. The brakes. clutch. gears all work great. Things it needs are a new air filter element and new tires. Note. nbsp; the forks have rust in the upper part of the travel area and between the triple trees. I expect the forks would leak oil if ridden like it is.  The tank has a few small dents and the hold down strap is ragged. The original pipe and silencer  are excellent with only a few dents in the stinger ahead of the silencer(see pic).

I have listed this as "pick up only" but I will work with the buyer to make pick up or shipping as easy as possible. I travel in the mid-Atlantic area and NC. N. Y and can possibly meet buyer at an agreed upon place for delivery. I will also be at the York. PA swap meet  next weekend. and can deliver the bike there if paid for in advance

I will ship the bike overseas but all arrangements are by the buyer and at buyer's expense.   As in. if you want a crate built to ship the bike. you must describe how the crate is built and pay a reasonable amount for me to build it. Contact me before end of auction if you have shipping needs
