Description

First things first! Please check our feedback.  We will never "fluff" a listing just to make a sale. our feedback means that much to us.  Up for sale is what I have been told is a 1982 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim. I am not a motorcycle mechanic so if you are reading this and it is not a 750 Maxim please let me know and I will revise my listing.  From the serial number I believe it to be. I do not have any history on the bike except verbal from the owner.  What I can tell you is I have owned many motorcycles in my lifetime and this runs like a dream.  It is 20 degrees in my garage West of Chicago and this thing starts (albeit cold blooded) everytime.  The only thing visible wrong is the "Battery" indicator stays lit on cluster. I have been told that this has a new aftermarket battery and is missing something oem batteries have.  Very possible a repaint but really nice from what I can tell.  The bike was trailered to my home on a slushy day and it is too cold for me to detail hence the pictures are not the best quality. The tires are excellant with no dry rot.  Everything works on the bike like it should.  There is a second headlight under the main headlight.  I do not know if this was standard or after market. but either way I cannot get it to turn on. Here is the story on the bike and will answer why I have no history.  I loaned money to a relative to pay off a 300% interest payday loan.  I held the title to a 1996 camaro RS.  The car developed some problems and the relative walked away from it and I was left holding the "bag" so to speak.  I tried selling the camaro but the offers I was getting would'nt make a dent in the money I had laid out for the payday loan. The owner of this bike contacted me and offered a straight up trade. He wanted the camaro body because it was in great condition.  So I traded thinking I will have better luck selling the bike.  That's the story. I will try and answer any questions honestly. but keep in mind you probably know more than I do.  I will try and get some better pictures if it warms up a bit. I will hold bike for a reasonable time in my garage if you are going to have it shipped.  I have the bike listed locally. and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time with or without bids.  Terms of sale are as follows: $500. 00 instant paypal payment on auction close NON-REFUNDABLE.  Balance within seven days cash or PayPal.  Last - If you have zero or negative feedback DO NOT BID. I will cancel your bid(s). Don't be afraid of the "Buy it Now" and don't be afraid to make an offer.  All I can do is say no or counter-offer. Sorry for the above novel but honesty is the best policy!  I do have very short video of bike running - contact me though ebay.
