BMW R1150R R 1150 R1150 low mileage Oil Head

This auction is for a BMW R1150 R motorbike. I have had this bike for a few years and have done minimal mileage in that time (it was low mileage when I bought it) Currently is is on 16. 87 miles.

The last time it was used in earnest was 2 years ago for a trip to Spain and it performed faultlessly. Since then it has been on a SORN. getting bored in my garage. The service history (incomplete) and old MOT's (not all) seem to reflect the mileage done. (It is on an 03 plate)

I have just put a new battery on the bike and it started 1st time. The bike has just been for a new MOT and it sailed through with no advisories. The bike could do with a little clean here and there. And there are the odd scuff mark here and there. The nearside luggage holder (I don't have any luggage) looks like it has seen better days and may have said hello to a wall or similar. I will add that I have never dropped the bike. Perfect for commuting or just as happy touring.

Handlebar raising blocks have also been fitted to give a slightly better riding position.

I have taken plenty of photographs but if there are any you specifically need. just ask.

The left hand headed grip does not work but the right hand one does. The troublesome oil level inspection glass has just been replaced and appears to have no leaks at all. At the same time a fresh oil change was done together with a new oil filter. It probably requires a good service. however.

 

Do not bid unless you are intending to take the bike away - it is much more adviseable to come and have a look first so there are no misunderstandings.

 

Any inspection welcome. However if you want to test drive the bike. you will have to pay the full price in cash before setting off. Please ask any questions before the end of the auction. If you win - you are committed to buy.

Payment of GBP200 immediately at the auction end as a deposit and the bike to be collected within 7 days of aucion end.
