For sale by owner: 2009 Ducati Monster 696

 

Color: Pearl White

 

Condition: Like-New--Never down. never exposed to rain. babied and garage kept.

 

Features: Nearly 100% stock. except for addition of a throttle tamer (stock throttle body included) and motivation frame sliders (Stock frame bolt included).  Also included are a 2nd key and the Code card.  I will also provide a printed and bound copy of the owner?ˆ™s manual.

 

History: I am the 2nd riding owner.  I purchased the bike on eBay in 2010 from a dealer in Massachusetts and had it shipped via vehicle carrier to Texas. where it has been since.  When I obtained the bike it had ~1200 miles and had recently been traded in by the original owner for a touring bike.  When I received the bike it was in showroom condition and ran very reliably.  I have had no mechanical issues whatsoever with the bike from day 1.

 

Unfortunately. I did not ride it nearly as much as I had planned--simply due to work and family obligations.  I have not raced or ridden this bike hard--in fact. I freely admit it is capable of much faster and aggressive riding than I am willing to try on it.  Since my purchase the bike has been ridden rarely. garage kept full-time. and cleaned thoroughly after any extended rides.  I do not believe it is due for any scheduled maintenance until 6. 00miles. but you can review the manufacturer's recommendations for specifics.

 

A local sale is preferred if possible. but I am also willing to work with the final buyer on shipping via a vehicle carrier.  If local. you are welcome to contact me to come take a look at the bike and see it run. but no joy-rides/test drives without cash-in-hand (personal checks or trades will not be accepted).  To be clear: buyer is responsible for ALL shipping costs.  I only have experience with Keyboard Motorcycle Shipping and I found them very easy to work with.
