Introduced by The Motor Company in 2006 the VRSCDX Night Rod blends aspects of the V-Rod the founding member of Harley's line of 1130cc twin overhead-camshaft 60-degree V-Twins with features of Harley’s Street Rod. The Night Rod’s liquid-cooled engine is designed with help from Porsche engineers. The Night Rod is Harley-Davidson’s popular V-Rod decked out in a host of blacked-out components. The VRSCDX Night Rod’s blacked-out treatment includes five-spoke cast aluminum wheels a black powder-coated 125-hp Revolution engine with highlighted fins and polished covers a black frame mirrors hand controls and speed screen visor.
Like the other members of Harley’s VRSC family the currentHarley-Davidson power cruiser has sleek drag-bike styling a stretched-out profile with a 34-degree rake angle on a 49mm fork a wide rear tire and Brembo disc brakes. The Night Rod’s performance and power brings the legacy of H-D’s Screamin’ Eagle / Vance & Hines Pro Stock motorcycle drag racing team to the streets.
