Hi and thanks for looking.
I am selling one from my collection for another project that I have bought and having 5 bikes already this one has to go. Its a rare American import CL70. The bike was not available in the UK and Europe and is based near to the SS50. It was sold as a Trials bike in the states due to its high lift exhaust and trials tyres fitted and I think that was it.
The bike was imported into the UK from California in Nov 2011 and all import papers are present. The bike has had a full strip down and rebuild except the engine and was running prior to the rebuild. The bike then had a very expensive Candy Blue respray and the tank which cost over ?600 (wife wasn't impressed when the bill came in). When rebuilt it was taken for its MOT and passed with just advisories on the damping of the rear shocks. We moved house so the bike was then mothballed and the MOT expired in June 14. The bike also has verification papers of its age from rising sun restorations I was going to process the paperwork for the V5 but the new house took preference so the wife told me. nbsp; it was Winter and we had no heating i told her to put a jumper on but she wouldn't have it.
Its had a new seat. points. plug. carb etc. The chrome didn't need doing it polished up OK thanks to the Sun over in the states. The bike sadly does have a problem it only selects 1st gear and will not go up the box. It worked fine but our wonderful removal men let it fall on its side when moving and the gear selector got bent. There are no leaks around the gearbox so the shaft has not got bent but it would need looking at. Bike starts fine and drives fine in 1st gear.
The bike needs a points cover and screws and the correct screw for the side panel all available off ebay or David Silver Spares.
There are some scratches near where the seat bolts to the frame. i have shown these in the photo. The rest of the frame and Tank are fine and no dents or scatches. When it fell over in the removal truck i was more concerned of any damage to the paintwork. Bike will probably need a new 6V battery as the one has probably died by now as they always do but i can start the bike of a 6V Honda Dax battery that i have.
The bike will need to be collected from SY22 7 miles from Oswestry and cash on collection or Paypal. Any Questions please ask. Happy Bidding.
