Description

FIRSTLY: a huge apology to all those of you who previously had bids or were watching my VF~long story short; with 2days to go i went to have a last run out on her and. same as every other time. turned her on (dash lights:check) and . nothing!I panicked with visions of the winner travelling hundreds of miles so did the only thing i could and pulled her before it went down to the last day and had to stay on. GOOD NEWS: after much investigation it turned out to be a loose connector that affected the start & kill switch operations on the RH bar~everything back to normal and yes ive started and stopped her lots of times to make sure. A silly. lmost ridiculous glitch but i stand by what i did as ive turned up myself to hear the famous phrase "it started last month mate"So~Up for auction~My classic HONDA VF750FD1984 on an A regn in the more unusual metallic red/white with blue decals (met blue/white with red decals are more common) and with an mot till 23rd March 2015!Starts off the button and on the move has that unmistkable v4 burble~very fast in its day and the basis for a lot of Hondas 80s racebikes~today its a pleasant usuable classic that's great for Sunday runs or to have in your garage. Suprisingly slim. a manageable seat height and the brakes do actually stop it. GOOD POINTS:The afore-mentioned mot till spring next yearGood tyres~Bridestone BT45 front and a Dunlop rearOriginal paintwork in unusually good order (see also Bad Points)Original gold comstars in really nice conditionClean. oil tight engine that runs wellSuper condition seatLow mileage (history check shows a 4year storage period and she is very clean but tbh i cant see it being correct~certainly isnt a high miler though)Replacement silencers in great nick (the gold end caps are 'as purchased' and really go well with the bike)BAD POINTS:Needs fork seal(s)~one now leaks so best to do both as a matched pair~the curse of not using her often enough i think. Not the hardest job and i have new seals that i'll include in the sale. Has had a drop~on gravel. not moving~amazingly didnt snap the fairing by the screen as normally happens but did crack it lower down. put some scratches on the surface and sadly dinged the tank. Very close up pics included as i have nothing to hide and the tank doesnt leak. Only selling as i really do have too many bikes now and in all honesty i'm going to need to release  more money in order to make progress with my Kawasaki triples. I know everyone says this but last pic shows the VF in beside 2 of my VF1000FII Bol d'Ors and whilst the red one is lovely. the silver needs a light refurb which. through experience. probably means about £500 if nothing expensive crops up :(As for my triples. don't ask~i think both the VF1000s may have to go or that Euromillion win comes my way!!So. there you go~a nice . unmolested VF that needs a couple of items attending to (or do the fork seals and use 'as is')~this isnt a £500 "no mot; needs everything done" but then neither is it a £1995>2500 immaculate machine~it's honest. original and from seeing how litre bikes are have rocketed in value this last year or so i cant see it doing anything other than appreciating in value. Think along the old rule of £1 per cc and you'll not be too far away~maybe even pleasantly suprised!!Any Q's use 'ask question' or txt/phone me on 07523 365670 (not 1st thing in the mornings please~evenings till late are good). Under 10star bidders~please contact me first or i'll just delete your bid (sorry to any genuine bidders but there are still lots of comedians out there with no money and too much time on their hands. £200 deposit by Paypal at end of auction~balance by arrangement. Collection and pre auction-end viewing welcome. Delivery from Scotland to midlands ish can be done for about £150~anyone on the south coast or Cornwall and similar id recommend someone like www. motorcycledeliveryuk. co. uk who are reliable and competitive (in the region of £180/200). Starting at a low price and selling with NO RESERVE. Thank you and happy bidding
