1993 HONDA VFR750 FP PROJECT

1993 Honda VFR750 FP.

Been in storage for some time and now an imminent house move forces reluctant sale.

Owned by me since 1997. basically only used for fair weather rides. hence the low mileage for the year and model. 23330 miles. with full service history.

Needs a few jobs to recomission after storage.

Fork seal needs replacing (pair of seals included). Carbs could do with cleaning out after the period laid up. (I didn't drain them!). I drained the tank and put fresh fuel in it today. and it fired up ok and ran. Was a bit "fluffy". but a carb clean should fix that. I think the clutch master cylinder seal needs replacing as the lever has gone "soft" and won't disengage the clutch. Front brake discs just need refitting. Removed to repaint the centres while the wheels were out to have new tyres fitted (Pirelli Diablo Stradas)

Generally in very good condition. a legacy of Honda build quality I guess. With the exception of the clutch and fluffy carbs. everything is in working order. Some minor cosmetic damage. Alloy fork legs have a bit of corrosion from stone chips. RH fairing panels have some small scuffs. due to me forgetting the disc lock and it taking a tumble at a standstill. I couldn't stop it gently hitting the floor and scuffing the panels. A replacement front brake lever was fitted after this incident! It has had a replacement regulator/rectifier and battery which only did one summer before the bike was taken off the road. I kept the battery on a CETEX charger and it turned the bike over today until it fired it up with no problem.

All standard with the exception of a nice high level. stainless steel Remus exhaust (fully road legal). and dark screen. Included in the sale are the standard (red tint) Honda screen. and the standard Honda exhaust in very good condition. A black seat is also included (I thought there was too much red!) Has the Honda seat hump and original toolkit. Is Datatagged.

Its a shame to part with the bike as it really is an excellent all-rounder. but the house move (and impending old age) force the sale. SORN and no MOT. All documents present in my name at this address.

Due to the house move the bike MUST be collected by Thursday 20th Nov.
