LAMBRETTA LUI 50 PROJECT OR FOR PARTS

This auction is for an incomplete LAMBRETTA LUI 50cc (at least that's what I think it is). I only have the parts you see in the photos. most of which seem to be in reasonable condition. The front and rear hubs are good. both mudguards are pretty good. the handlebars are good. the lower and upper handlebar covers fit together nicely and are not damaged. although the headlamp rim screws are snapped off. The stand looks OK. the frame is not bad although it has a bit bent where the engine fits in so this will need a bit of attention - please see photo of this area. The frame number is clear and original. The forks are only any good for the links as they appear to have been repaired at some time. The legshields are fairly decent. just a few dents in the middle section and a couple of patches of surface rust. The tank sounds a bit rusty inside. and I have no idea how it could be cleaned. I don't know if the engine is correct for this bike as I don't know much about the Luna range. it says J50 on the engine number. but the numbers don't seem to be very far out from the frame number so it could well be original. The sidecasing looks in good condition but some muppet has managed to snap something off of the bottom of the main engine casing. which you should be able to see in the photo of the engine. The plastic bucket in the photo contains various clutch parts and what looks to be a three speed gearbox. I was intending to see all these parts individually. but as it seems that most of the major parts are present perhaps somebody would like to take it on and restore it!I just picked this up in Italy last weekend and there are no documents with it. hence it is being sold as parts.  PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BIDDING: The items in the advert are currently in France. not Oxfordshire. however I will be in the UK during the last week of November and could deliver between Dover and County Durham. for free if it's on my route. or for the cost of the fuel if off route but I can't go within the M25.
