Laverda RGS. Superb.

One for the collector or Laverda enthusiast. Rare opportunity to purchase a beautiful low mileage Laverda RGS. This bike was kept in a private collection in northern Ireland for 25 years when the bike was sold because the owner passed away. I bought this bike off a fellow enthusiast May 2013 and in July 2013 I took it to a Laverda specialist to have the bike checked and recommissioned for the road. The valves were checked and adjusted. I asked for new timing and primary chains to be fitted ( the originals were 32 years old; why risk it). the carbs were stripped and cleaned and new rubber carb manifolds were fitted as the originals had started to show signs of perishing. Finally electronic ignition was fitted which is regarded as essential for reliabilty and smooth running on these bikes. The total bill came to £1074. 00 and the specialist garage owner commented it is one of the best RGS Laverdas he has seen in many years. A stainless steel Jota exhaust was on the bike when I bought it. I have covered just 500 miles on the machine in the last 12 months and funding a building project means I am having to reduce the number of motorcycles I own which is why it is for sale.
