Gilera 150 Sport

1954 Gilera Sport numbers matching project bike. The bike has a clear Texas Title in my name. The speedo cable has no inner wire so it is not functioning so the mileage listed is a guess as I have no idea how many miles this bike has on it.

I have had this bike for a couple of years, ’ve done nothing with it so it is time to move it on.

The bike is as I found it, have done nothing to it other than keep it in my house. Somewhere in its life someone painted it, he paint job when done was top notch as is the pin stripping. It seems like the paint job was emulating some kind of race bike of the time. It’s beautiful as is (though I would probably get the headlight bucket painted to look like the rest of the bike). The bike kicks over and has good compression, t goes through the gears and the clutch seems to work. The inside of the tank is dirt and should be relined though the sheet metal is still strong (the steel in this tank is thicker than ones found later). I have never seen another sport with these side panels (they usual didn’t have any) so they may have been made for it, f they were they we done professionally because it looks like a factory item. It has a quick opening gas cap another thing I haven’t seen on many other Gilera sports. It has a dealer tag on the front fender that shows it came out of Bologna.
