2000 Confederate America GT - 131 stage 2. 7900 miles. factory stock.
Â
Very clean. only a few blemishes. rides very well. Tons of Confederate-made components from the original hand formed aluminum gas tank (not carbon fiber) through machined billet pieces like the triple tree and primary. Â With an overall weight of just over 500 lbs and around 130 hp/140 torque. several hundred pounds less and twice the horsepower and torque than your typical Harley. Â Original cost of bike was over $40k with engine option. Â Â It is almost like riding a Nascar on the street. so it’s not for the inexperienced rider. Definitely catches the eye of anyone. just be prepared to talk about the bike. no matter where you ride.
Â
Merch 131 Stage 2 engine – estimated around 130 bhp and 140 ft/lbs of monster torque. Â This was around a $12k engine upgrade for the original owner from the standard S&S motor. I don’t know of any other GT or Hellcat owners with the 131 option. most are either the Merch 120 (~$5-8k upgrade) or S&S 113. Â These Merch engines are built with tight tolerances and to be oil tight. with the utilization of o-rings throughout instead of typical gaskets. There is the factory Jim’s high performance oil pump. The exhaust is a 2:1 header recently coated with JetHot ceramics with a lightweight Muzzy muffler.
Â
The frame is 120-gauge DOM carbon steel tubing. the single-backbone. double-cradle frame with three-inch outer-diameter (OD) backbone that also a 5. 5-quart oil tank – no external oil tank. Â With this much oil (several quarts more than a Harley) and tank in-frame surface area. it doesn’t get anywhere near hot like a Harley typically does on a hot day. Â The downtube measures 2 inches in diameter while the cradle weighs in with 1. 25- inch-OD tubes. The subframe consists of slightly less beefy 1. 125-inch tubing and is rubber mounted for vibration damping with a custom Danny Gray seat (for 2 up riding). Â Â The swingarm is constructed of a one-by-two-inch rectangular arm of . 065-gauge chromoly braced with one-inch-OD tubing that is cantilevered. looped. and triangulated. All of these pieces are machine fit and heliarc welded. producing an inflexible frame.
Â
Paioli 43mm inverted fork assembly offers compression and rebound damping adjustability over 5. 1 inches of travel. The Works Performance two rear dampers feature preload adjustability with over 5. 5 inches of travel.
Â
The wheels in 3. 5x17-inch front and 6. 25x17-inch rear are light and strong with 200/50 ZR 17 rear radial with Swedish ISR Racing brakes. full-floating. cast-iron front discs and six-piston calipers and 4-piston rear caliper. The rotors do rattle like full floating rotors.
Â
The Confederate-designed close-ratio five-speed transmission with Andrews gears with chain final drive on the right side of the bike. A hydraulically actuated Primo high performance clutch under the trick billet primary-drive-belt cover engraved Confederate logo.
Â
I installed super-bright. new generation Custom Dynamics LED turn and brake lights. replacing the old generation bulbs.
Â
Being a 14 year old bike. there are a couple of blemishes. primarily just normal wear and tear from riding. Â I am the third owner. first owner was an elderly gentleman and it was too much bike for him. Â The second adult owner and his wife put a majority of the miles on the bike. Â There is some paint peeling around gas cap. near speedo. a small black mark on side of tank just above logo (barely noticeable) along with the typical marks and blemishes from riding. Things I would change over time are the front rotors; the full floating rotor rattle is aggravating at times. The tires are excellent. Just had the front fork seals and fluids changed by a professional Ducati shop. Â Recently had the header ceramic coated inside and outside by JetHot 1300F Extreme (silver polished. almost looks like chrome). Â The only thing that had to be changed was the ignition module (previous owner). Â The battery will probably need to be changed sooner or later. but is good. Everything I stated. is to the best of my knowledge. Â Currently. riding the bike. so mileage will gradually increase.
Â
The reason I am selling. changing jobs (merger). working overseas. Â This is my third America GT. don’t want to sell. but this bike doesn’t need to sit. it wants to be ridden. Â No warranty implied. Â Selling bike locally. so auction could close at any time.
