The all-new Outlander L 500 EFI 4x4 joins the Can-Am family this year utilizing a similar G2 SST frame introduced previously on the larger-bore Outlander 4x4 model. A 46-hp. eight-valve. liquid-cooled SOHC Rotax® 500 V-Twin powers it. The Outlander L 500 includes numerous changes. such as a rear-mounted silencer. steel tubular racks. SACHS‡ five-way preload adjustable shocks and Carlisle Trail Wolf tires on steel wheels. Power steering. alternate colours. larger magneto and cast-aluminum wheels are available on the L 500 DPSTM model.
