1982 Yamaha Seca XJ 650R

Selling my Silver 1982 Yamaha Seca XJ 650R. This is a rare 1 year only model. Very cool retro color combination. perhaps Caf? Racer design of its day.   The bike was just serviced and it runs great. Everything works on the bike. Best bet on tomorrow�s classic according to vintage bike magazines. ENGINE: The bike runs great. The carburetors were just ultrasonically cleaned and new fuel line installed. New spark plugs. oil + filter and K& N air filter. I have converted the bike to blade style fuses instead of the original tubes. Starts up every time and is much more reliable than stock. It also has a new starter on it with less than 1000 miles. The bike has a 4 into 1 Vance and Hines exhaust on it. it sounds great not too loud. I will also include an extra set of plugs.  

BODY: The paint is all original and in great shape.   Although in great shape the bike is not a museum piece and does have patina that you would find on any 30 year old bike.   (Please examine all pictures) 

The gas tank is nice and the paint shines but there are a few scratches and paint chips and one small ding on the right side of the tank. this is hard to see and can only notice in the right lighting. The inside of the tank is clean

The side covers are in excellent condition with no cracks.

All of the painted black parts like the motor and wheels are in need of attention if you wanted to make the bike perfect again. The paint on these parts never lasted and with some polishing and detail work the bike could easily be brought back to top condition again.   Some pitting on some of the chrome pieces. Examine pictures. In its current condition I would say it�s a perfect daily rider.  I rode this bike from Boston to Baltimore and back multiple times and hasn't once failed me.  

CHASSIS:  The bike has two new tires that have less than 500 miles on them. The front forks are NOT leaking but I recommend servicing them. Drive shaft oil has been changed before the winter. The bike has the original tool kit.  

EXTRAS:  I am including a luggage rack and windshield. Windshield is cracked but with a replacement will look great.
