1978 Yamaha XS650E XS 650 E All Original 6600 Miles - Really Nice!

1gobama1 Store 1978 Yamaha XS650E 1978 Yamaha XS650E I purchased the bike in February 2014 as a “Barn Find” with just over 6K miles. It was last tagged in 1988. I have the tag & tag receipt I found under the seat. Everything appeared to be original including the tires. All of the chrome and both aluminum wheels have been cleaned and polished. The paint is original except I painted the black on hub of front rotor and both front footrest mounts. Inside of fuel tank was rust free. There are a couple of small dings on fuel tank. minor scratches on right turn signals. dent and scratches on right muffler. and very minor pitting on chrome. I replaced: oil. oil filter & gasket. oil strainer & gasket. oil drain plug gaskets. spark plugs. battery. tires. inner tubes. rim strips. front & rear footrests. speedometer cable & tachometer cable. I rebuilt: both carburetors (including brass floats). fuel petcocks. front brake master cylinder and front brake caliper. Bike looks. runs. and rides like new. Everything works: headlight. tail/brake light. turn signals. horn. electric & kick start. speedometer. tachometer. front and rear brakes. It now has just over 6. 00 miles on it. The state of Alabama does not issue titles on pre-1980 motorized vehicles so only a Bill of Sale will be provided. please check your state requirements. Local pickup only.
