1981 Yamaha SR250

For sale I have a 1981 Yamaha SR250 Exciter. It is in excellent mechanical condition. everything works flawlessly. It has new front and back tires. new battery. fresh oil change and front brake cable. I also repaired several small holes that were on the end of the exhaust pipe. It is not perfect cosmetically; the paint on the gas tank is cracked. there is some minor surface rust on different areas of the bike. The reason this bike is being sold is that I purchased a larger motorcycle recently. It does not have any mechanical issues. all the lights and the speedometer work; it is ready for riding. I purchased this bike in December of 2014 from a lawyer in Bloomington. Indiana. who had used the bike as a pace setter for a local bicycle racing team. When I bought it it had a crash bar which is included in the sale. I was able to ride it several different times and I did not have any issues. This bike gets good gas mileage and would make a great bike to learn to ride on or for around town. The SR250 has a top speed of approximately 81 MPH so highway riding is possible.
