1999 YAMAHA FZS 600 FAZER 1999(V)

Description

For sale is my Yamaha FZS600 Fazer. first registered 2-9-99 (V reg) in metallic silver. it has covered 26800 miles and I've just put a fresh 12 months MOT on with no advisory items (20-Feb 2015).

 I bought the bike after passing my test last July from a dealership in Leicester.

Its condition is excellent. there is just a small scratch on the back of the tank (see photo) and some other very very minor marks. but I would say it’s one of the cleanest models for the year.

I've kept it garaged since ownership and I believe it’s been garaged from new as there is practically no corrosion on the bike.

 

The front and rear tyres are both Bridgestone Battlax and have 4mm tread front and 6mm tread rear. the front and rear discs / pads are in good condition. no heavy scoring. the chain is in good condition. nbsp;I've always used Dr Bike chain wax after every ride and the seat has no tears or marks.

 

The bike is totally standard other than a tinted MRA adjustable touring screen and clear indicator lenses (I have the original orange versions should you wish to put them back on).

Extras fitted are lower engine protection bars. a 12v socket near the headset. data tag and a brand new Renntec lockable / removable top box in black with 2 keys which takes a helmet and gloves with room to spare.

I have the 2 original Yamaha keys. of which both are still the same key for the ignition. fuel filler and seat removal lock.

I also have loads of old MOT’s. receipts. a HPI / accident clear sheet from when I purchased the bike and the full PDF workshop and owner manuals on memory stick.

 

I’ve covered around 1000 miles and it’s been great. never missed a beat (apart from my heart once or twice).

It uses no oil or coolant and does around 130 miles to a tank of fuel with fairly hard riding and 160 miles if you cruise. it also has a low fuel level light of which I’ve travelled a further 15 miles once illuminated.

 When I purchased the bike last July the dealer carried out an oil. filter and plugs service. so it’s due its next service this July.

 

The reason for sale is I purchased the bike with the intention of it only ever being a starter machine after passing my test (I’m 41) with the view to getting a larger bike once I’d got some experience under my belt and knew exactly what style of bike I wanted (I've gone with a Suzuki GSX1250FA).
