Yamaha SC 500 73-74 No Reserve

This is the legendary single cylinder SC500 2-stroke Yellow Beast that Yamaha only built for 2 years. I think this is a 1973 but I am not sure. It could be a 1974. It has to be one of the two.The rumors I heard about the bike is the bike had too much power for the mediocre suspension and was too hard to control so the project was scraped after two years. This is a project bike that I have had for years and never seemed to get around too. It is missing the cylinder and head plus all components back to the airbox. The bottom end is free and rotates. I have tired to capture the condition as best as possible.It also looks like it picked up some aftermarket shocks along the way. The rest seems to be original. I do have a Yamaha microfiche for the bike that I will include.I bought it from a guy who had it in a barn about 16 years ago in NC. It is a real barn bike. I tried for a while to track down the original cylinder and head but had no luck. It has been garage kept since then.Of course it does not run and is sold as is. Sorry for having to state the obvious. I will not ship. The bike can be picked up in Forest Hill MD after complete payment is received through PayPal.It ispreferred the bike be picked up on a weekend because I have an awkward schedule however you could pick it up byFriday 5/29 this upcoming week but not this weekend. I will work with you as much as I can.I listed the title as Salvage because I had to put in something but of course there is no title on a '73 dirt bike.
