1977 Yamaha RD-400 - Mint and Original

Offering for sale is our 1977 Yamaha RD-400.    I am the second owner of this stunningly original Yamaha.  While attending the Bonhams Motorcycle Auction at the Quail in Carmel Valley. CA in May of 2009. I saw this Yamaha and its condition and originality was spectacular and I had to have it.  There was alot of interest in this bike. and the final bid. not surprising. was quite a handsome price.  Upon delivery I was able to contact the original owner who is an attorney in Portland. Oregon.   We had a great visit.  He purchased the RD-400 new and used it minimally over his 32 years of ownership.   I have added about 100 miles during my five years of ownership.   It runs as good as it looks and needs absolutely nothing.   I have a motorcycle collection and have always aspired to have the best and this Yamaha fit that bill nicely.   The bike has 3080 original miles and even has its original tires.  In fact. there is barely a bolt or nut that has been wrenched on. If you are looking for one of the best RD-400's around. look no further. I am selling my personal collection of 10 outstanding bikes  -  all in similar condition.  Feel free to browse my other listings. Financial details:  A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due immediately after winning auction via PayPal and after that we can discuss whatever payment works best for you. As with any other seller. I will not turn over the bike until it is paid for in full .  Shipping is up to the buyer. I do have ample space and will be happy to store the bike for a few weeks as needed to accommodate as needed while shipping details are arranged.   United States sales only please.
