I am relisting due to the winning bidder not paying. This is a 1995 Aprilia RS250 Reggiani replica street bike. It is NOT a converted cup race bike. I have owned this bike since 2000. It was purchased from Motomorphic in Petaluma. CA and I was told it was an import from Thailand. The bike has a 17 digit VIN number and a clear Arizona title. Although the stock bike was amazing I did make some changes. The stock exhaust was replaced with a complete Arrow system for more power and less weight. Once the exhaust was fitted it was clear the bike needed to be re-jetted. The bike was sent to Mototek-Ducati in Austin. While the bike was there. I had the engine rebuilt and heads slightly modified for street riding. The chrome on the original Marzocchi forks started to flake off causing the seals to leak. Rather than re-chroming the original forks. Motomorphic suggested replacing the entire front end with one from a 2005 Suzuki GSX-R600. Changing the forks required custom steering stops and the steering lock is functional. The fork legs were sent to GP Suspension in Oregon for new fork springs and valving for the RS250. The Tokico radial mount brakes and Nissin radial master cylinder were a huge improvement over the original equipment as well. Front and rear brake lines were replaced with Galfer stainless braided lines for improved feel. With the new front end. there was no cable drive for the speedometer. The stock instruments were replaced with a Translogic F-Series Micro-Dash 2. This programable dash has a gear indicator. shift lights and the lap timing function is operated by the original left switch cluster. The low oil light is triggered by the level sensor in the injector oil tank. The stock wiring harness is still in place and the battery was replaced with a Shorai lightweight lithium iron one. Once the front end was sorted out. the limitations of the stock shock started to show. The original shock was replaced with a custom Penske 8900 series shock with specifications from GP suspension. To make the most of the new suspension components. the bike was set up by Evan Steel Performance in Tucson using a Scheibner m. a. x. chassis measuring system. The shock dyno results and chassis setup information comes with the bike. The bike has about 4200 total miles on it but the engine has less 1500 miles since the rebuild. The transmission has always run Motul trans-oil and the engine runs Motul 710 synthetic injector oil. For Arizona weather I run Redline water-wetter coolant. The only issues with the bike are cosmetic and limited to the body work. The bike was once shipped too close to another resulting in paint damage on the left side. nbsp;especially the tail (see photos). The previous painter didn't seem to add any plasticizer and there are a few spider cracks in the paint above the headlights (see photos). Having the bike painted was on my list of things to do but always came after performance improvements and never got done. Included with the bike are an official Aprilia service and repair manual. Translogic dash manual. nbsp;chassis setup info. stock mirrors. stock rear pegs and records of all work I had done on the bike. The bike runs and fuels perfectly. With the suspension components and chassis setup it handles better than any other street bike I've ever ridden. I have other bikes and I spend much more time admiring the Aprilia than I do riding it. There's nothing like the sound. feel and even smell of a two-stroke bike. Please feel free to ask any questions or for specific photos The bike is located in Phoenix. Arizona. Bike is available for pick up or I'll be happy to drop it off at any shipping location or motorcycle shop in the Phoenix area. I reserve the right to cancel listing early for local sale. Thanks for looking.
