1973 BMW R75/5 Very Nice boxer SWB

First off: Thanks for looking! This is a rare opportunity to own a very nice. but used. 1973 BMW 75/5 Boxer bike. It is the SWB version. I am selling this for my friend who had a serious stroke and most likely will not ride again. He bought this bike in 2006 and put around 4. 00+ miles on it since then. The odometer shows 4. 00+ miles now and I do not know if that is the actual mileage on the bike. The bike has been maintained by Boxers by Bruce. in Arlington. Texas. (He sold my friend the bike in 2006. so he would be able to answer more specific questions) I will again let you know that this bike is 42 years old! It is not perfect. But. it is a very nice looking and excellent riding bike. The bodywork has a nice shine to it. there is a fair amount of what looks to be polished aluminum on the bike. The tires are both in good shape. all electrical works correctly. speedo and odometer work correctly. generator light works correctly. The bike has a small windshield on it that is in nice shape as well. There is not an owner's manual or tool kit with the bike. but I'm sure they can be had on other auctions!The two things that I saw are the seat has a very small puncture type tear at the rear of the seat (it looks to have had something put on it that sealed it) and the pushrod seals are leaking oil on the left side. I called Bruce and he said to replace all of the pushrod seals. adjust valves. and whatever else he does on that service-the price is $200-$250. )I can not over emphasize how nice this bike runs. It gets lots of looks and thumbs up whether it is being ridden or it is parked. I do reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is for sale locally.
