1987 BMW K100RT

This BMW has been all over the country. I put many miles on the bike and then my oldest son used it for a few years commuting back and forth to work. Then my youngest son used it for the same purpose. The bike then sat in my youngest sons garage for about a year as he had a baby and began raising his family. He just moved to Virginia so I got the bike back. Due to the fact that I already have too many motorcycle projects and a couple of rentals I have decided it is time for this "Flying Brick" to find a new home. I just put 20+ miles on the bike and can tell it will need some work. She idles fine but stutters around 4000 rpm. I played with the injectors and cleaned the plugs. This helped a bit but still not 100%. The bike does not come with saddle bags or a trunk bag. The Continental rear tire is in decent shape with 70%+ tread left. The front Metzeler ME330 should be replaced. Speedometer odometer and all electrics work.In total fairness I would call this a great parts bike. DO NOT PLAN TO PURCHASE THE BIKE AND RIDE HER HOME! Even though this might be possible I would not recommend it. The bike should be picked up shipped or delivered. I can deliver the bike for an additional agreed upon fee with the buyer if so desired.The bike does come with a clear Indiana title. The bike also has matching motor frame and VIN numbers.At the close of the auction I will supply a CIear Indiana Title Odometer Disclosure Statement and a Bill of Sale.
