Sellingthis well-sorted '99 for a friend who can no longer ride. I believe the silver with orange panel factory paint was the rarest paint scheme in the series. At least youdon't see many on the market these days. This is a 2-owner bike with my friend having it since 2003. He's an engineer by trade and has kept it well-serviced and always garage stored.
42k miles aren't a lot on a Beemer and this one rides crisply with no surprises. It is stock except that the Corbin seats were shaved in front (Corbin customization to lower the seat height for shorter riders) I'm 6-1 anddont find the seating position uncomfortable but I can furnish the OE seat if you'dlike it?
the only other mod is the addition of aTechlusion R259 Injector control module. This is a common mod on these period 1100's which eliminates surging caused by the O2 sensor telling the ECU to go lean. You can read about it on the BMW forumwhere it apparently has worked well for other 1100 owners. here's the link: (you may have to do a cut and paste into your browser aseBay requires this funky syntax to embed a link in an auction description)

Although my shop here in Akron specializes in Suzuki GS models, e are no strangers to BMW's with several of the guys owning one or more. I had our most experienced tech go over this 1100 making sure it's ready to hit the road. Recently got new front wheel bearings, il and filter changes, nd a good nut and bolt tune up.
Two Corbin seats shown in photos--one withpassenger back rest and one without. BMW OE removable plastic luggage which locks with ignition key, asy on/easy off.
I've been riding this bike for a couple weeks and find it very comfortable. It starts, uns and idlessmoothly, ccelerates as expected and will cruise all day on the highway or put a smile on your face in the twisties.
reasonable reserve price so take your best shot.
