1966 BMW r50/2

 This bike was restored by its previous owner who passed away just before completion of the project. The motorcycle was completed. but the side car installation was still in progress. I removed the side car and will probably sell it separately. There are a few bits and pieces from the side car installation still on the bike that will be removed before final sale. The side car is unused. and I am thinking the bike is virtually unused after the restoration. as well. The job appears of pretty good quality. but I do not have much documentation. Pictures I have of the restoration show the bike and engine apart. It certainly appears to have been an extensive job.   The motorcycle starts pretty easily and runs smoothly and quietly. I believe the rear end ratio is still set up for the bike without side car; I did change the Earles fork setting to the other hole and loosened the steering damper. and the bike seems to handle very very nice now. I have only put a couple of hundred miles on it. and I am not a BMW expert. ASK YOUR QUESTIONS.   Please feel free to call me  219-929-6750. PLEASE CALL 219-929-6750.   There are several modernizations on the bike as it sits now. The charging system is now 12 volt. and. I think. is an alternator. Headlight is bright. The turn signals have been added. and work as intended. A custom seat is installed that is very comfortable. in my opinion. (The original seat will be included. as well).
