BMW 1988 R100RS

I am the third owner of this totally stock R100RS. There may have been other owners but I don't know about them. This beautiful bike is an original and unrestored example of the iconic windtunnel tested sport tourerintroduced in 1977. At 25,618 miles I adjustedvalves and set rocker side-play, etorqued heads, hanged oil/filter and checked tranny and rear end oil (which were clear). Ordered and installed Surefoot sidestand (have the original),installed newEBC HH brake pads Sept14 at 26,060 miles andMichelin Pilot Activ tires, ept14 at 26,110 miles.(Brake pads and tires were date related and not wear related.) The bike hasoriginal side cases in excellent condition, nd the Thunderchild diode board.The bike starts and runsperfectly as you would expect a bike so new to do.As you would expect thereare a paint ding or two that are too small to photograph.It sits in my garage noticed but unridden and so it's time to move on.
